Terms of service
Last updated October 7, 2026
These terms cover using 24kdesignstudio.co and working with us on a project. They're written in plain English. If anything is unclear, email hello@24kdesignstudio.co before you pay or sign anything.
Who we are and these terms
24k Design Studio (“24k”, “we”, “us”) is a design and development studio based in Georgia, USA. “You” means the person or business using this site or hiring us.
Each project has its own written proposal or statement of work (“proposal”) covering the scope, price, schedule and payment plan. These terms fill in everything the proposal doesn't say. If the two conflict, the proposal wins. Your proposal also names the business you're contracting with. By paying an invoice or approving a proposal, you agree to both.
Using this website
You can browse this site and send us a consultation request for free. Please don't misuse it: no attempts to break in, overload it, scrape it at scale or submit spam. The client portal and invoice links are for the client they were sent to; keep your links and sign-in codes to yourself.
How we handle personal information is explained in our privacy policy.
Proposals and scope
After a consultation we send a proposal. Unless it says otherwise, a proposal's price is valid for 30 days. Work starts once the proposal is approved and any deposit it asks for is paid. Anything not listed in the proposal is outside the agreed scope.
Invoices and payment
- We invoice in US dollars. Each invoice has a secure payment link; card payments are processed by Stripe, and we never see or store your card number.
- The proposal sets the payment plan. Typically that's a deposit before work starts and the balance on delivery, or milestone payments on longer projects.
- Each invoice is due by the date shown on it.
- If an invoice is more than 14 days overdue, we may pause work until it's paid, and the schedule moves accordingly. We'll always tell you before pausing.
- We don't hand over final files, transfer accounts or launch to a live domain until the final invoice is paid.
- Prices don't include sales tax. If tax applies to your project, it will be shown on the invoice.
Cancellations and refunds
- Deposits reserve time in our schedule and cover the start of the work. Once work has begun, a deposit isn't refundable unless the proposal says otherwise. If we haven't started, we'll refund it in full.
- Cancelling a project. Either side can end a project with written notice (email is fine). You pay for work completed up to that date, and we refund anything you've paid beyond that. You receive the work you've paid for.
- Completed and accepted work isn't refundable. If something isn't right, we'll fix it (see “Fixes after launch”).
- Payment mistakes. Duplicate or incorrect charges are refunded in full to the original payment method. Refunds usually reach your account within 5 to 10 business days, depending on your bank.
If you have a problem with a charge, please email hello@24kdesignstudio.co first. We'll respond within 2 business days, and it's usually faster than a bank dispute.
Change requests
You can ask for changes at any time, through the client portal or by email. Small changes within the agreed scope are included. Bigger changes may affect the price or schedule; we'll tell you the impact and wait for your approval before doing the extra work.
Your part
Projects run on time when we have what we need. You agree to:
- provide content, feedback and approvals within the times in the proposal,
- give us access to the accounts and tools the project needs, and
- only send us material (text, images, logos, data) you have the right to use, and let us use it for your project.
Delays on your side can move the schedule.
Who owns the work
- Your deliverables. Once your project is paid in full, you own the final designs, content and code we create specifically for you.
- Our tools. We keep ownership of our own pre-existing tools, code libraries, templates and know-how. Where they're part of your project, you get a permanent, non-exclusive licence to use them as part of that project.
- Third-party and open-source parts (fonts, libraries, plugins, stock media) stay under their own licences.
- Portfolio. We may show finished work in our portfolio unless you ask us in writing not to. We never share confidential information.
Third-party services
Most projects rely on outside services such as hosting, domains, payment processors or email providers. Unless the proposal says otherwise, these accounts are set up in your name and their fees are yours. We aren't responsible for outages, price changes or policy changes by those providers.
Fixes after launch
For 30 days after launch or delivery, we fix bugs in the work we built at no charge: anything that doesn't work as agreed in the proposal. This doesn't cover new features, changes made by someone else, or problems caused by third-party services. After that, support and changes are available as separate work.
Apart from this, our work is provided “as is”. We do our best to build reliable, secure products, but we can't promise any website or app will be error-free or available without interruption.
Limits of liability
To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any claim about a project is limited to the amount you paid us for that project. Neither side is liable for indirect or consequential losses, such as lost profits, lost data or lost business. Nothing in these terms limits liability that can't be limited by law.
Confidentiality
We keep your non-public business information confidential and use it only for your project. We're happy to sign a separate non-disclosure agreement if you need one.
Governing law
These terms and any project with us are governed by the laws of the State of Georgia, USA. Any dispute goes to the state or federal courts located in Georgia, and both sides agree to their jurisdiction. Before going to court, we'll both try in good faith to resolve the problem by talking it through.
Changes to these terms
We may update these terms from time to time and will change the “Last updated” date when we do. The version in place when you approved your proposal applies to that project.
